Series of events marks Everhart’s 55th anniversary

For Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Everhart of Youngstown it was d j vu as they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary by taking a trip to Niagara Falls, where they honeymooned following their Sept. 24, 1955, wedding at First Presbyterian Church in Freeport, Ohio.

The anniversary was also celebrated during a dinner with family and friends at 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at Margherita’s in Girard, and at a dessert buffet given by two of their granddaughters, Niki Schaeffer of Austintown and Kayley Frost of Daytona Beach, Fla.

The couple’s family includes Sue and Nic Mostert and Traci and Terrance Cahill, all of Daytona Beach, and Diane and David Dickson of Autintown. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Everhart, a Korean War veteran, retired in 1989 from Ford Motor Credit Co. Mrs. Everhart, the former Betty Pittis, is a homemaker.
