Make-A-Wish needs support of public

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana chapter announces its goal to grant a record 980 wishes for seriously ill children in fiscal year 2011.

Any child over age 2 1/2 and under the age of 18, diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition and has not received a wish from other organizations, qualifies for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The average value of a wish is $6,000. However, any gift, large or small, will help a child.

Communities can rally behind a local child’s wish and help share the power of a wish by contributing financially, donating frequent-flyer miles, adopting a wish, participating in the Students for Wish Kids program or remembering the foundation in their planned giving.
