DiOrio family to celebrate anniversary

CANFIELD

Mr. and Mrs. Richard DiOrio of Canfield, formerly of Austintown, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 8 during a private family gathering at Michael Alberini’s Restaurant in Boardman.

Their family includes Laura and Rick Blanco of Canfield, Julie and Mike Anderson of Jamestown, Pa., and four grandchildren, Mark Blanco, Amanda Blanco, Ashley Anderson and Lindsey Anderson.

The former Phyllis House and Mr. DiOrio were united in marriage on Oct. 8, 1960, at St. Brendan Church in Youngstown.

They lived in Austintown 35 years before moving to Canfield nearly 14 years ago.

Mrs. DiOrio is a homemaker. Mr. DiOrio worked 14 years as a die maker with Spencer Tool and Die and then for 22 years as a cost estimator at General Motors in Lordstown before retiring in 1992.
