Becca Fitzpatrick, who penned the New York Times bestselling novel “Hush, Hush,” will make special appearances in the Youngstown area Thursday. She will be at the Austintown branch library at 9 a.m. and at the Poland branch library at 12:30 and 6:30 p.m.

The author’s visit celebrates the upcoming Teen Read Week, Oct. 17-23, during which teens are encouraged to read for the fun of it and to visit their libraries for reading materials.

Fitzpatrick will discuss writing novels for teens and speak about her new novel, “Crescendo,” due to be released later this month. Copies of the new book will be available for sale and will be signed by the author.

The events are being sponsored by the Frank and Pearl Gelbman Trust of Huntington Bank. Seating is limited, and participants are asked to register by calling 330-744-8636.
