62-year-old motorcyclist killed in collision in Trumbull County

A 62-year-old man from Berlin Center was killed when his motorcycle collided with a Chevy Silverado.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said Blaine Szalaj was driving his motorcycle east on state Route 88 when an SUV driven by Paul Hurd, 65, of Kinsman attempted to turn onto Hoagland Blackstub Road.

Szalaj crashed into the car about 4 p.m. Saturday and died from the resulting injuries.

Hurd was not injured. The patrol is still investigating the accident, and no charges have been filed.
