YSU LIVE | Penguins lead 10-0 after first quarter

The YSU football team leads North Dakota State 10-0 after the first quarter of Saturday's game at Stambaugh Stadium.

YSU took a 3-0 lead on a 43-yard field goal by Stephen Blose with 10:45 left in the first quarter. The Penguins went 54 yards in 13 plays.

On NDSU's ensuing possession, Bison QB Brock Jensen fumbled the snap on a third-and-1 and YSU LB David Rach recovered at the 37. That set up a 2-yard TD run by QB Kurt Hess — the first TD run of his career.
