Night school was in order for parents of Austintown Fitch students Sept. 23, as they experienced what a typical school day is like for their students.
Schedules were handed out and refreshments were served before the bell rang for classes to begin at 6:30 p.m. In short 10-minute classes, Fitch teachers had a chance to explain to parents a normal school day, their future class plans and what makes Fitch such a great school to attend.
Algebra II teacher Della McPherson explained the amazing relationship Fitch has with graphing calculator company Texas Instruments.
“Because of the relationship forged by former math teachers, we have a bond with T.I. unsurpassed by any other schools in this area,” she said. “We get the highest quality calculators and your students’ observations and problems with the machines are reported directly to the company.”
Band director Wes O’Connor even reported that his Fitch Falcons band is “one of the most special groups I’ve been privileged to teach.”
