Married at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9 in a grove of pecan trees were Michelle Gaines and Kevin Scragg, both of Austin, Texas.

The daughter of H.F. and Nina Gaines of Nixa, Mo., and son of F. Willliam Scragg of Youngstown exchanged vows before the Rev. Bonnie Connor.

A reception followed at the Hyatt Lost Pines in Austin, where the couple stayed and enjoyed a reunion with family and friends.

The bride wore an A-line gown of candlelight chiffon. The skirt flowed to a chapel train. She was escorted down the aisle by her best friend, Doni Whisner.

The bride’s daughter, Audrey Page, was maid of honor, wearing a cornflower blue gown.

Brian Scragg served as best man for his brother, and groomsman was another brother, Greg Scragg.

Greeters were the groom’s sisters, Moira Luebbert and Valerie Farschman.

Ms. Gaines, who is retaining her maiden name, holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tulsa and a master’s degree in anesthesia from the University of Kansas. She is a staff anesthetist with Westlake Anesthesia Group in Austin.

Mr. Scragg earned a master’s degree in business administration from North Eastern State University in Tahlequea, Okla. He is a residential/commercial broker with Keller Williams Realty in Austin.
