Campbell mayor's pretrial rescheduled

LISBON

Campbell Mayor George Krinos’ pretrial hearing on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence has been rescheduled.

Krinos did not appear Thursday for a pretrial hearing in Columbiana County Municipal Court. His lawyer, Brian J. Macala, did appear and said his client had gone to a doctor that morning.

Judge Carol Ann Robb said that Krinos would have to get a note from his doctor saying he was at the doctor’s office.

Judge Robb reset the hearing for 11 a.m. Nov. 29.

Krinos had pleaded innocent Aug. 27 to charges that he was driving drunk and speeding on state Route 11 near Columbiana. He has told The Vindicator he had “two drinks” at a party. The mayor has limited driving privileges while the case is pending.
