Two indicted on burglary at South Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury handed up indictments against 26 people, including two who fell asleep inside of a home they were allegedly burglarizing.

Tyrone Gregory, 32, of West LaClede Avenue, and Rafaelle Daye, 38, of North Evanston Avenue, were indicted on burglary charges this week.

City police were sent to a home in the 2000 block of Summer Street after a 27-year-old woman realized someone entered her home via a front window that had been shattered.

The resident found her South Side home ransacked with personal belongings thrown everywhere. The woman told officers she walked into the bedroom and found Daye and Gregory sleeping in her bed.
