Pumpkin Festival this weekend


LISBON

The Third Annual Pumpkin Festival will be at Columbiana County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday.

The family-oriented event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. More than 30 crafters will be at the festival.

Events will include horse-drawn wagon rides, adoptable pets, food, concessionaires, antique dealers, music on the Webb Family Stage, and antique tractors and engines on display.

Events on Sunday, along with all of activities from Saturday, include a car show, a petting zoo, and a corn-toss tournament with prizes hosted by the Fairfield Farmhands 4-H group. At 3 p.m., carved items made by Luree Magee will be auctioned.

A new event will be a “Best Carved Pumpkin Contest” open to all age groups and a Chili/Salsa Cook Off contest sponsored by the Lisbon Chamber of Commerce. For information call the chairman, Sharen Cope, at 330-651-3777.
