Greed fuels the recession
Greed fuels the recession
We are all the victims of the recession, and in my opinion it was caused by several players, including our government with at times overbearing and outlandish rules and regulations driving companies out of business and/or out of the country. Another reason is everyone’s greed. Greed in the respect that everyone wants to get over on the next person. When buying a new vehicle, you must get the best deal; we need to buy everything only to discard it or yard sale it in a few years. We want the government to take care of us from cradle to grave, resulting in a bankrupt country.
Make no mistake, if the foreigners that own our debt would call the debts in, we would be a fallen nation. We have allowed every large corporation to go overseas to make their products, which we buy because they are cheap. We have allowed lobbyists to work in Washington, a practice that is legalized bribery. We have become complacent, allowing only a small percentage of voters to elect officials. We have allowed trade agreements to destroy us. We have, without realizing it, become divided and not truly a United States. As long as the powers that be keep us fighting among ourselves we will continue on this path.
I don’t believe the unemployment figures, I think the true unemployment is 30 percent, not 91/2 percent. If it wasn’t for unemployment compensation, Social Security, SSI and welfare this so-called recession would be way worse than the Great Depression in 1929.
People need to vote, keep track of government and get our trade agreements changed. In reality much power is in the people’s hands and not the government; stop buying anything not made in the USA; don’t buy it, do without.
