Not even a few scarecrows could keep shoppers away, as the Boardman Center PTA hosted its third annual Harvest Day sale Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 in the parking lot of the school.

The sale, which was from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., included bales of hay, mums, pumpkins, Indian corn, scarecrows, Boardman Center clothing and refreshments.

Students were allotted time throughout the school day to visit the sale to purchase items. The sale was not exclusive to students and faculty members — the public was invited to purchase the items in preparation for fall.

All proceeds go to the PTA to help support future school activities and events. Parents interested in helping with PTA functions can contact PTA president Kathy Gahagan at mkgahagan@zoominternet.net.
