Beaver Township to celebrate its 200th

Officials are looking for help to commemorate the 200th anniversary of establishing Beaver Township.

Events will take place through 2011 to mark the anniversary, said Scott Conway, township park administrator and head of the anniversary committee.

Anyone who would like to help with the celebration can attend a planning meeting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Beaver Township Administration Office, 11999 South Ave.

Current and former residents also are invited to loan or donate any photographs and memorabilia that could be used for possible exhibits and memory books.
