Apple butter festival to stir up excitement

DEERFIELD

Deerfield Civic Association is preparing for its Apple Butter Festival, which will take place from dawn to dusk Saturday on the grounds of Deerfield American Legion, 1517 state Route 14.

A host of activities is planned, including breakfast at 7 a.m., a variety of food for sale, a tractor pull at 9 a.m., an antique car show, and, of course, apple butter will be simmering.

If space is available in the flea market, a 10-by-10-foot space is $10.

A donated handmade quilt will be auctioned off at $1 a ticket. The winner need not be present.
