Ghost Walk, presented by Trumbull County Fine Arts Council. Guided tours leave from the First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Avenue, Warren, approximately every 10 minutes. This walking tour of our historic district covers approximately one mile and includes seven stops where costumed actors portray people who once lived in Trumbull County and who in most cases, died tragically. The Ghosts of Burton Historical Tour, 14485 N. Cheshire St., Burton. Tours are at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Oct. 16 an 23. Each tour lasts about 2 1/2 hours. Several volunteers will be stationed throughout the historical Century Village and at the County’s oldest cemetery to tell local stories of old. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required. In past years, the Ghosts of Burton Historical Tour has sold out in advance of the dates. You may mail in a check or call with your credit card number. A confirmation will be sent to you. Lantern Light Walking Tour, Mercer County Historical Society, 119 S. Pitt St., Mercer, Pa. Each year, for the last five years, Bill Philson, MCHS Executive Director, has led tours of Mercer Borough and its Cemeteries, focusing on various aspects of the Civil War and the Underground Railroad. Tours leave headquarters at 7 p.m. and return around 9 p.m. Oct. 13, 20 and 27. Bring a lantern or a flashlight so you can watch your step—the tour will be dark in places. We will be walking in excess of a mile and a half—so bring your walking shoes! People who cannot walk that distance will be able to meet us at the various stops.
