Ohio man pleads guilty to YMCA locker room photos

DAYTON (AP) — A man has pleaded guilty to two charges that he secretly took photos of men and boys undressing in a southwest Ohio YMCA locker room.

The Dayton Daily News reported today that 40-year-old Daniel E. Wagner of Dayton has been sentenced to five years' probation.

He could have received up to a year in prison for a fifth-degree felony charge of voyeurism because a child was involved.

A Montgomery County judge noted, however, this was Wagner’s first offense and ordered him to undergo sex-offender treatment as a condition of probation.

YMCA officials in southwest Ohio say they have long banned cell phone cameras and other such devices in their locker rooms.

Police say they didn’t find any evidence that Wagner was sending the photos to other viewers.
