Lindsay Pennell Mitchell, daughter of Richard and Karen Mitchell of East Palestine, and Edward Anthony Czopur, son of Edward and Linda Czopur of Canfield, were joined in marriage April 24 at St. Columba Cathedral.

The Rev. Nicholas Shori solemnized the 2 p.m. ceremony, and a reception at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman took place that evening. The newlyweds honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and live in Boardman.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless ball gown fashioned of white taffeta and designed with a beaded bodice, corset enclosure and A-line skirt.

Johanna George was honor attendant. She wore a honeydew green gown as did the bridesmaids, Melanie Gaffney, the groom’s sister; Nicolette Ledford; Allison Short; Abigail Ward; and Maggie Wengerd. Flower girl was the groom’s niece, Mia Gaffney.

Best man was Josh Wolk, and groomsmen were Bill Coates; Ryan Csepeggi; David Gaffney, the groom’s brother-in-law; Jason Mitchell, the bride’s brother; and Chris Patrone. The bride’s cousin, Lucas Archibald, was ring bearer.

The bride graduated from Otterbein College with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and is communications coordinator at Turning Technologies in Youngstown.

Mr. Czopur holds a juris doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law and is and associate attorney at DeGenova & Yarwood Ltd. in Youngstown.
