Lakeview girls win All-American showdown

The Lakeview girls soccer team earned another All-American Conference win with a 3-0 victory over Beaver on Wednesday night.
Nicole Moldovan scored all three goals for the Bulldogs (11-3, 7-0). Ali Gagne had an assist. Goalkeeper Elaine Moldovan had seven saves.
Katie Jordan had 11 saves in goal for the Beavers.
Poland 4, Niles 2

Kelsey Malenic led Poland (8-3-2, 3-1-1 AAC) with two goals, while Rachael Robertson had a goal and an assist. Erin Gabriel had Poland’s other goal, while Abby Brenoel had two assists and Lindsey Cooper had one.
Niles (6-7, 0-5) got goals by Erin Clay and Sara Parry, while Jordan Smith and Nicolette Merlo had assists.
Poland outshot Niles 15-3.

Angela Giuliano had three goals in the victory over Girard.
Teammates Brooke Rodgers and Shannon Montgomery each had a goal for the Tigers (13-3-1). Assists were credited to Jennifer Djulic, Bridgett Click and Rachel Ellis. Goalkeeper Stephanie Nussle had seven saves.
Amanda Pavlik scored the only goal for the Indians (4-7). She was assisted by Kayla Richey. Goalie Megan McNichoas had 15 saves.

Fitch took a 2-0 lead into halftime and was able to hang on for a final by that score.
Tori Koch had both goals for the Falcons (10-1-3) who earned their third win in the Federal League in five attempts. They’ve lost one and tied another. Kristen Schmidt and Kaity Shiley had the asssits, while Jessica Scott had four saves.
Nicole Becks had nine saves for the Eagles (8-4-2, 2-3-1).
JVs: Fitch 1-0.
Howland 1, Canfield 0
Canfield
Shannon Martorana had the only goal of the night, breaking a scoreless tie.
The Cardinals (7-4-3) had nine shots on goal. Goalkeeper Jackie Podolsky saved four shots.
The Tigers had six shots, and eight saves.

Chris McClearn had two goals, and Benji Rush, Brad Fields, Connor Gilmour and Anthony Russo each had one in the victory Tuesday night.
