Flu, pneumonia shots at health fairs this week

The Youngstown YMCA’s annual health fair will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Central Branch, 17 N. Champion St. downtown.

The Youngstown City Health Department will offer flu shots for $12 and pneumonia shots for $30. In addition, the St. Elizabeth Heath Center Blood Lab will offer a variety of screenings to the community ranging from $5 to $20.

On Thursday, a community health fair will take place at St. Charles Parish Hall, Boardman, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Flu shots and pneumonia shots will be ofered there too, for those same prices. Screenings of hearing, vision and blood pressure will be available, in addition to a variety of other health services.

The hall is located at 7327 Westview Drive off U.S. Route 224.

Customers also can buy gift certificates for teachers or the library.
