Poland resident Jeff Hochendoner has landed a role in another film that is being shot in Pittsburgh.
Hochendoner plays the chief muscle-man for a mob leader in “A New York Heartbeat,” which stars Eric Roberts and was written and directed by Tjardus Greidanus. The film will be released in the spring.
Hochendoner has now had roles in eight movies that were made in Pittsburgh in the past two years, including: “My Bloody Valentine” (2008), “Mysteries of Pittsburgh” (2009), “Riddle” (2011), “I Am Number Four” (2011), “Warrior” (2011), “Hollywood & Wine” (2010) and “The Next Three Days” (2010).
“Heartbeat” is set in 1957. The story follows a small-time hood called Spider who rips off a mob boss. Filming will begin this month.
“It’s a period piece,” said Hochendoner. “I wear a three-piece suit, scarf and a fedora.” Hochendoner will be seen in two major movies that will be released next month. “Unstoppable,” starring Denzel Washington, will be released Nov. 12; “The Next Three Days,” starring Russell Crowe, will be released Nov. 19.
“I Am Number 4” will be released in February, and “Riddle” will be released shortly after that. “Warrior” will be released in January or February.
