No money for SS raises, and yet ...
I am one of the millions of se- niors who is on a Social Security pension. The powers that be said no cost of living raise for Social Security since there is no inflation. I guess these people do not shop. They looked into their crystal ball and decided no raise for 2010 and also 2011.
Funny that there is money to give the civilian federal employees a raise for both 2010 and 2011.Also Congress got a hefty $4,700 raise for 2010. We seniors need to voice our opinions in not only the 2010 midterms but again in 2012. We need these people in Washington to hear what we have to say.

Try finding a person to talk to
The reason this country is in a mess is that there are no jobs. And yet, no one wants to talk with people who have complaints.
I called the FDA about a heating pad that I was not able to lean back on or sit on, just hold in place. I received a different number to call, and then reached a porn number. Other health numbers make you listen to lengthy spiels about which button on the telephone to push. One had seven options. I spent two hours trying to find out about the heating pad that had a warning that it could harm your skin or harm furniture.
Retired telephone people worked in the best years. Operators were there to talk to people and handle emergencies.
It’s no wonder some people aren’t doing their jobs: because you can’t talk with them. As to being referred to a dot-com, we all don’t own computers.
