Youngstown Christian falls in overtime

The Lutheran East High football team rallied from a 14-point halftime deficit on Saturday to defeat Youngstown Christian, 26-20, in overtime.
After a fourth-down interception snuffed out Youngstown Christian’s attempt to put up points in overtime, Lutheran East scored via rush on fourth down to seal the win.
Youngstown Christian’s points were registered by Nick Gonda, Anthony Abeid and Dom Polito.
Gonda caught two passes for touchdowns from Darrien Townsend, Abeid had a rushing TD and Polito had two extra-point kicks for the Eagles (0-6).
Leetonia 40, Sebring 21
SEBRING
Devan Miller scored three times and Seth McNally scored twice for Leetonia (2-4, 1-2 Inter Tri-County League Tier Two) in Friday’s game.
Miller carried 21 times for 106 yards while McNally’s 13 carries netted 66 yards for the Bears, who trailed after one quarter, 7-6.
For Sebring, Tyler Rinehart scored on a fumble recovery and a 1-yard run.
Sebring had 256 total yards to Leetonia’s 200, but the Trojans (3-3, 1-2) were intercepted four times.
