Gorgas to mark 60th anniversary of their wedding

On Oct. 7 Mr. and Mrs. William Gorga of Warren will be marking the 60th anniversary of their wedding.

The former June Tueche and Mr. Gorga were united in marriage on that date in 1950 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and now attend St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Their family includes Bill and Barb Gorga of Westerville, Ohio; Nancy and Dale Osbun of Sandusky, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Amy Gorga, Danielle Osbun and Brian Osbun.

As a prelude to the anniversary, the entire family gathered for a weeklong celebration this summer in Florida.

Mr. Gorga was a platoon sergeant with the U.S. Army during World War II. He graduated from Youngstown College with a degree in electrical engineering and retired as a chief engineer from Republic Steel in Cleveland.

After her children were grown, Mrs. Gorga, a homemaker, worked for the U.S. Postal Service prior to retiring.
