GARDEN CLUBS | This week's meetings announced

TUESDAY

Daphne will have a program on Garden Journals by Sue Lambert at 11:30 a.m. Rose Marie Roth is hostess and Kay Zimmerman is the coordinator.

Ikebana will have two classes on the Ichiyo School by Shirley Winkler at 9 a.m. Instruction sheets will be provided.

WEDNESDAY

Mahoning will meet at noon for a sack lunch and a tour of Rodney Toth’s gardens, 5637 W. Liberty St., Hubbard, or a lecture by Rodney Toth at Frankies Main Street Cafe, 368 N. Main St., Hubbard. Hostesses are Wayla Agee and Frances Kupec.

THURSDAY

Nature Lovers will have a “Let’s Make a Basket” program at 1 p.m. at the Weaving Willow, 1888 Brookfield Road SE, Hubbard. Liz Andraso is the hostess.

St. Charles will have a Community Service Project Assembly at 7 p.m. and a talk by Rosarian speaker Ray Carroll. Hostesses will be Rena Nuzzi, Marian Ocarz and Roe Palazzo.

Sweetbriar will meet for a fall arrangement program by Marge Bielawski. The hostess will be Wendy Homer.

SATURDAY

New Bedford will meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. for a road trip to a glass blowing center and lunch at Foxburg Inn.

Garden club events are published Sunday. The deadline is noon Thursday.
