Huntington Bank has announced the addition of Mario Abbattista as vice president and relationship manager of its Youngstown business banking team. In this role, he will manage portfolios of existing business customers in Trumbull County and prospective businesses in Trumbull and Mahoning counties.

Before joining Huntington, Abbattista was a business banker with PNC Bank. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Youngstown State University.

FirstEnergy Corp. recently announced that Jon Taylor has been named assistant controller for FirstEnergy Utilities. Taylor replaces Kevin Burgess, who will become the corporate assistant controller.

Taylor has been a manager for FirstEnergy’s financial reporting and technical accounting team since 2009. He previously worked in the Akron office of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Burgess has been with FirstEnergy since 1999. He earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and business from Hendrix College and a master’s in business administration from Ohio State University.
