YSU LIVE | Penguins trail 21-17 after three quarters
Missouri State leads Youngstown State 21-17 entering the fourth quarter of Saturday's game.
The Bears have scored 21 unanswered points, the last 7 coming thanks to a 40-yard interception return by Adam Beauchamp with 2:02 left.
It was the second straight turnover for YSU QB Kurt Hess, who a minute earlier had fumbled the snap in the end zone, where it was recovered by MSU's Howard Scarborough.
Missouri State missed a 37-yard field goal with 7 minutes left in the third quarter.
YSU's offense has been nonexistent since the first quarter. The Penguins made one first down combined in the second quarter and first 12 minutes of the third quarter. They finally showed some signs of life and will have a second-and-3 at the MSU 46 entering the fourth.
