Women’s club to host luncheon and fashion show

Youngstown-area Federation of Women’s Club, Inc., affiliated with the Ohio and general Federation of Women’s Clubs, Inc., will host its annual luncheon and fashion show Oct. 20 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. The event is a fundraiser for scholarships.

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international women’s organization founded in 1868, dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

The Youngstown Federation of Women’s Clubs was established in 1906, headed by Mrs. Warren P. Williamson.

A junior majoring in psychology at Youngstown State University was the 2010 winner of the scholarship.

“Love Makes the World Go Round” has been chosen as the theme for this year’s event. Festivities begin at 11:30 a.m.

After the luncheon there will be a style show by TALBOTS and music by Youngstown’s Jack Ciarniello and Jim McClellan.

Special vocalist Amanda Beagle, Talent Award Winner Miss America 2005, will also perform.

Hairstyles will be by Panache and makeup for models will be by BeautiControl.
