The Columbiana County One-Stop will host a recruiting event for Salem Community Hospital on Monday from 9 a.m. to noon at the employment agency, 7860 Lincole Place. The hospital is hiring patient-care associates, unit secretaries and food/nutrition aides. All positions are part time with varying shifts. No appointment is necessary. Attendees should bring a r sum and be prepared to complete an application.
AT&T to activate three 3G cell sites

AT&T will activate six new Third Generation, or 3G, cell sites in Mahoning County, the company announced this week. The new sites will provide contiguous coverage between Youngstown and Warren and Cleveland and Akron along Interstate 80, Interstate 76 and U.S. Route 224. The investment is part of AT&T’s continuing efforts to support growing demand for advanced mobile devices and applications.

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host a Good Morning Canfield! breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Friday at the Brooks Center in the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Rd. The event will focus on the school, fire district and library levies that will be on the Canfield ballot Nov. 2. A panel will explain the issues, provide literature and answer audience questions about the levies. Panel speakers are Canfield Schools Superintendent Dante Zambrini, Fire Chief Robert Tieche and Carlton Sears, director of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. Canfield City Mayor Bill Kay and Township Trustee Chairwoman Marie Izzo Cartwright also will give updates.

Foreclosure delay
WASHINGTON
Bank of America is delaying foreclosures in 23 states as it examines whether it rushed the foreclosure process for thousands of home-owners without reading the documents.
The move adds the nation’s largest bank to a growing list of mortgage companies whose employees signed documents in foreclosure cases without verifying the information in them.
