Cynical writer doesn’t understand
Last Saturday’s article, “The gospel according to Becky” was a sarcastic, cynical essay by a man who does not know or respect the scriptures or the person and words of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Bible says not to add to its words or the plagues of the Bible will be added to you and not to take away from its words or your name will be taken out of the book of life.
Jesus didn’t get involved in politics and neither should those who claim to follow Him. Of course, most who say that they are Christians neither love or obey Jesus.
He said that we will always have the poor with us and that we can help them anytime that we want to. The Bible also says that if a man doesn’t work he shouldn’t eat. The government has made this country a welfare state where the people collect welfare checks and don’t work.
People don’t exercise and eat all kinds of junk food and take all kinds of drugs and then when they get sick they walk into any emergency room of any hospital and are taken care of by other people’s money and hard work.
America was built on the freedom to worship and the freedom to work for a living, not to come here and rely on someone else to pay the bills.
True believers pay their bills and work for everything that they have and are grateful. They pay taxes and everything else that they owe to the government and anyone else.
Now, everyone needs some help for a time and a season but no real person wants to rely on someone else to foot the bill for them for the rest of their lives.
