Canine Carnival to raise funds for dog park

Friends of Paws Town will have a Canine Carnival from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 10 in Boardman Park.

The event will benefit Friends of Paws Town, a local nonprofit trying to raise funds for Paws Town, an enclosed 1.5-acre dog park within Boardman Park.

Free gift bags will be given to the first 50 people who enter the park, off U.S. Route 224 between Shops at Boardman Park and Southern Boulevard.

Activities will include bobbing for bones for the dogs, doggy costume contest and trick contest, face-painting, dog-kissing booth, auction, photo booth, vendors, food and training exhibitions.
