Visitors to the Poland library won’t have to read on an empty stomach anymore.

Kravitz Delicatessen, specializing in Jewish Mediterranean vegetarian, is opening a location Oct. 19 inside the library. The deli will operate in the spot that was occupied by Rosetta Stone Chapters, which closed its doors in August.

Kravitz’s menu includes soups, salads, breakfast dishes and sandwiches. Owner Jack Kravitz said the library location will feature a scaled down version of their basic deli menu, but it will definitely include one of his customers’ favorites.

“We’re really known for our corned beef,” Kravitz said. “Everyone seems to love it.”

Rosetta Stone Chapters, which was located in the library, opened in March and was affiliated with Youngstown’s Rosetta Stone Cafe, which closed Aug. 26.

Marc Rockwell, who will manage the new Kravitz location, said residents are awaiting the deli’s opening and likewise, he and his staff look forward to the big day.

“We are excited and can’t wait to open,” he said. “Now people won’t have to drive all the way to Liberty for corned beef — they can come to Poland.”
