A Youngstown man who committed two armed carjackings in Hubbard less than a week after his 18th birthday has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Lilton C. Morris, 18, of Hickory Court, received his sentence in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, where he earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of failure to comply with the order of a police officer.

Morris committed the carjackings with a firearm Dec. 11 and Dec. 13 on Westview Avenue in Hubbard, police said. No one was injured. Morris turned 18 Dec. 8.

The Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Morris in early January at a home on Early Road in Youngstown, where he was living.
