“Christmas in Rockefeller Center” (8 p.m., NBC): “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” invites viewers to gaze in wonder upon the 78th annual tree-lighting ceremony in New York. Also hoping to shine will be, among others, Susan Boyle, Mariah Carey, Josh Groban, Annie Lennox and Jessica Simpson.

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” (8 p.m., CBS): All of those North Pole bullies may have laughed and called him names, but “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” continues to rank as one of our most beloved holiday specials.

“The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” (10 p.m., CBS): Expect to see plenty of skin and only a scant trace of clothing during “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.” Highlights include performances by Katy Perry and Akon, and the unveiling of the $2 million “Bombshell Fantasy Bra.”

Cedar Point seeks talent in Pittsburgh

Representatives from Cedar Point will be in Pittsburgh next week to find entertainers and technicians for next summer’s shows. The amusement park-resort has more than 100 openings for the 2011 season.

Open auditions and interviews will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in Studio 2 of the Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh, 4100 Library Road. Registration will be 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Positions include singers, dancers, musicians, stage managers, technicians, stage crews, ushers, costume shop, dressers, costumed characters and karaoke hosts and DJs. Each audition piece should be limited to 16 to 32 bars. Applicants should select music that is upbeat and illustrates their personality and ability to interact with audience members. A CD player and piano will be available. Applicants should bring a one-page r sum with references.

Franco, Hathaway to co-host Oscars

LOS ANGELES

James Franco and Anne Hathaway will be running the show at the next Academy Awards. Oscar organizers said Monday that Franco and Hathaway will co-host the 83rd ceremony Feb. 27.

The announcement creates the prospect that one or both hosts might also be nominees. Franco is considered a solid best-actor prospect for the survival drama “127 Hours,” and Hathaway has a chance for a best-actress slot for the romance “Love & Other Drugs.”
