He played eight minutes in the Tigers’ 83-71 victory over LaSalle in the finals of the Cancun Challenge on Wednesday. Ricardo Ratliffe had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers (5-0), who started the second half on a 16-1 run to pull away from the Golden Lions (0-6). Missouri allowed just one shot during the first four minutes of the span. Dominic Moore led Pine Bluff with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Golden Lions dressed eight players after scratching five before the game.

No. 16 Florida 55, Florida St 51

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.

Kenny Boynton scored 14 points and Erik Murphy added 10, including a decisive late field goal, as Florida held off Florida State’s late rally. Michael Snaer’s fifth 3-pointer of the game cut Florida’s lead to 53-51 with 51 seconds left before Murphy’s putback with 16 seconds left. The Gators (5-1) opened a 53-48 lead with 1:20 left on two free throws by Murphy coming just 17 seconds after two by Boynton. Snaer scored 15 points for the Seminoles (5-1). Florida State shot just 33.3 percent against the smaller, quicker Gators and their leading scorer on the season, Chris Singleton, was just 2 of 12 from the field.

Texas A&M 54, No. 21 Temple 51

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.

David Loubeau scored 13 points, Naji Hibbert added 12 and Texas A&M beat the Owls in the consolation bracket of the Old Spice Classic. Texas A&M (5-1) went ahead 52-51 when B.J. Holmes scored off a rebound with 18.5 seconds left. Temple (3-2) had gone up 51-50 when Ramone Moore made two free throws with just under a minute remaining.

No. 25 North Carolina 74, College of Charleston 69

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.

John Henson scored a career-high 19 points and ignited the decisive second-half run. Henson also had seven rebounds and two blocked shots for the Tar Heels (4-2), who rallied from a five-point deficit midway through the second half to win their second straight game.
