Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hewitt celebrate their 69th anniversary

The 69th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hewitt of Boardman was celebrated in October, while two of their daughters were visiting from out-of-state.

The couple have three daughters, Barbara (Bernard) Cardarelli of Struthers; Linda (Philip) Hulewat of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and Phyllis (Tom) Murphy of Lake Placid, Fla. There are 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren in the family.

The former Bobbie Carter and Mr. Hewitt were married Nov. 29, 1941, in Gulfport, Miss., while he was serving with the Army Air Corps at Kessler Air Base in Biloxi, Miss.

Mr. Hewitt, who will celebrate his 90th birthday Jan. 16, is retired from the engineering department at U.S. Steel Ohio Works.
