Fritsche, Nagy lead Phantoms

CHICAGO

John Fritsche and Nilan Nagy scored as the Youngstown Phantoms won their second straight game.

Adam Berkle’s empty-net goal clinched Saturday’s 3-1 victory over the Chicago Steel at Edge Arena.

Phantoms goaltender Matt O’Connor stopped 12 of the 13 Steel shots he faced.

Steel goalie Connor Wilson made 18 saves.

Chris Bradley and Berkle earned assists as the Phantoms (6-10-1, 13 points) took a 1-0 lead late in the first period.

Justin Stevens and Cody Strang had assists on Nagy’s goal three minutes into the second period.

Jay Camper scored for the Steel on an assist from Cole Gunner.
