Neighbors | Submitted.The Lake Milton Chapter (#214) of the World Wide Brown’s Backers sponsored the first Children’s Halloween party at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course Oct. 31.More than three dozen children and their families enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of games and prizes for the kids.

The Lake Milton Chapter (No. 214) of the World Wide Browns Backers sponsored the first Children’s Halloween Party at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course Oct. 31.

More than three dozen children and their families took part in an afternoon of games and prizes for the kids. Prizes were awarded to the children for the best pumpkin design, artistic, cutest costume, scariest costume, most unique costume and many others.

The children played corn hole and a Halloween version of musical chairs.

“As our organization grows, we are able to give back to our community in a number of ways. Nothing is more enjoyable than seeing kids and families get together for some good times,” said Gary Rozhon, president of the Lake Milton Chapter.

Rozhon also mentioned that they have begun collecting food and monetary donations for their annual Christmas Food and Toy Drive for needy families in the Lake Milton area. In 2009, more than 50 children from 28 families received presents and Christmas dinner as a result of the work by the club.

Donations for this year’s event can be dropped off at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course in Lake Milton. If you are unable to deliver your donation, call the course at 330-654-4100 to schedule a pick-up by one of the club members.
