Beaver Township to celebrate bicentennial

Officials have organized volunteer meetings to plan events and activities to commemorate the 200th anniversary of establishing Beaver Township.

Volunteers will meet on the third Wednesday of every month at the township administration office, 11999 South Ave., to gather ideas, collect photographs and

organize memorabilia.

Scott Conway, Beaver Township park administrator, said the township is looking to launch the celebration in January, with events continuing throughout the year.
