Singer will perform at Apollo Theater

YOUNGSTOWN

Karla Seldon of Youngstown has been selected to sing on Apollo Amateur Night, a talent show at the Apollo Theater in New York. She will sing “As We Lay,” which was made famous by Shirley Murdock, during her performance, which will be March 9, 2011. The winner of Apollo Amateur Night receives $10,000. Seldon auditioned for Amateur Night several weeks ago. Her CD “No Regrets” can be purchased at www.ageesang.com. Seldon will throw a fan appreciation party from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Buckeye Elks, 421 North Ave. The Package Band with Seldon will perform, and admission is free.
