Jerome Courtney and his bride, the former Stephanie Russell, greeted guests during a reception at Edward W. Powers Auditorium in Youngstown after their 3 p.m. wedding Aug. 27 at Holy Family Parish.
The Rev. John Trimbur officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Ted and Diane Russell of Poland and son of Gregory Courtney and Victoria Huffman, both of Poland.
The couple have postponed their wdding trip to Bora Bora until March, and live in Richmond Hill, Ga.
The bride’s ivory gown was enhanced with beaded lace appliqu s and featured sheer cap sleeves and a plunging V-back neckline. The bodice was adorned with a champagne silk band and a Swarovski brooch.
Fuchsia dresses with black sashes were worn by Kathanne Welsh, the honor attendant, and bridesmaids Cori Meeke and Sharon Courtney, the groom’s sister. Flower girl was Brooke Norris, the bride’s cousin.
Gregory Courtney performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Ted Russell, the bride’s brother, and Marc Saculla. Ring bearers were Jaden and Britton Meeke.
Mrs. Courtney, an accounting specialist with First Chatham Bank in Savannah, Ga., graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Courtney attended Youngstown State University and is a route sales associate with Lance Food Corp. in Savannah.
