Ohio Sen. Capri S. Cafaro of Hubbard, D-32nd, is sponsoring a “Summit on Safety” at the Warren YWCA at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The YWCA is at 375 North Park Ave. N.W.

The summit, which is open to the public, will feature elected officials, community leaders and law-enforcement officials joining Cafaro for a discussion on building partnerships to better protect our communities.

“This is a great opportunity for members of the community to learn what resources are available to help keep them safe,” the senator said.

Among those expected to attend are Michael O’Brien, Warren mayor; Tim Bowers, Warren police chief; Doug Franklin, Warren safety-service director; Greg Hicks, Warren law director; Tina Milner, director of the Warren Weed and Seed program; Craig Tame of the U.S. District Attorney’s office; and Jim Johnson of the Ohio Attorney General’s office.
