The Winvian in Morris, Conn., was the setting at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 28 for the wedding of Carmen Garzona and Michael Shannon, both of New York, N.Y. Robert Henderson officiated at the ceremony and a reception followed in the Gordon Brown House at the Winvian.

The daughter of Jos and Carol Garzona of Seattle, Wash., and son of Edward and Linda Shannon of Poland honeymooned on the islands of Moorea and Tahiti in French Polynesia and live in New York City.

The bride wore a Grecian, one-shoulder-style chiffon gown adorned with chiffon petals.

Wearing gowns in various shades of blue were Jenna Hobocan, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Kelly Hellman and Erin Shannon, sisters of the groom; and Brittany Butler and Molly Schleck.

Ed Shannon performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Nicholas Hellman and Adam Rudolph, the groom’s brothers-in-law; and Scott Landy.

A graduate of Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, the bride is a sales manager at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

The groom, a senior room and beverage manager at the Waldorf Astoria, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality.
