Southington man faces rape charges

A Southington man is accused of multiple sex offenses and is scheduled to appear in court today.

William Lauth, 38, was indicted Tuesday on six counts of rape and three counts of sexual battery after a direct presentment to a Trumbull County grand jury.

He is scheduled for arraignment this morning before Judge Wyatt McKay of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

The crimes of which Lauth is accused occurred in the man’s home.
