U2 is pitching in with other acts in offering special releases on Black Friday that support independent record stores. The band will offer a three-song live EP on vinyl titled “Wide Awake in Europe.” The Black Friday releases from U2, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Metallica, the Gaslight Anthem, the Black Crowes and the Black Keys support for bricks-and-mortar stores that specialize in CDs and vinyl.
