Police: Shots fired at school bus

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police say someone opened fire on a school bus after students on board shouted obscenities at a pedestrian.

Investigators say the bus carrying four teens was stopped at a red light in the city’s East Liberty neighborhood Monday evening when two students shouted at a passer-by.

The bus driver told police gunfire rang out almost immediately, with one bullet shattering the rear window and another striking the bus near the driver. The driver told officers he fled the scene then called 911 and the teens on board fled.

According to police, the driver said the students had no obvious injuries when they fled.
