Sacred choral music at two concerts

Salem Youth Chorus will present “A Sound of Angels,” concerts of sacred choral music, at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Church, 953 E. State St., Salem, and at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 at St. Joseph’s Church, 2643 Waterloo Road, Randolph.

The concerts are the ensemble’s first since its performances at cathedrals in Ireland, Wales and England in August. A free-will offering will be taken. For more information, call 330-718-2329.

Second City brings comedy shows

The Second City comedy troupe will bring its new show, “Fair & Unbalanced,” to the O’Reilly Theater, 621 Penn Ave., for four performances, Dec. 16-18. Tickets are $30, $40 and $50 ($15 for age 26 and younger); call 412-316-1600, or go to ppt.org. Show times are 8 p.m. Dec. 16 and 17; and 5:30 and 9 p.m. Dec. 18.

“Fair & Unbalanced” takes aim at politicians, Hollywood celebrities and more. Limited cabaret seating around the stage will be available. The theater’s bars will be open throughout the performance, and beverages will be allowed in the theater.
