Badger student's recycling slogan best of 450 entries

“Move over trash can, it’s recycle time” is the new recycling slogan for the Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste Management District, and it was written by Rebekah Stanhope from Joseph Badger Middle School in Kinsman.

The slogan was selected from 450 entries submitted during a contest in September and October among children in grades four through eight across Trumbull and Geauga counties.

The slogan has been printed on Solid Waste Management District tote bags made from recycled plastic bottles that were distributed to students at the schools that produced the top three slogans.

Second-place winner was Sydney Velotta of Robert C. Lindsey Elementary in Chesterland, and third place was Ahlam Esmail of L.E.A.D. Academy in W.S. Guy Middle School, Liberty.
