The Southern Boulevard entrance to Boardman Park will be closed today from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. as crews make repairs to the railroad tracks.

Warrants issued

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Police issued warrants Thursday for two people suspected of being involved in the robbery of a village Dollar General store.

Police are searching for Matthew Messner of North Lima on a charge of aggravated robbery and Angela DeGeorge of Poland, who is wanted on a charge of falsification in connection with the robbery. Police said on Nov. 3 a man entered the Dollar General store and brandished a box cutter before accosting the clerk, stealing a cash drawer and fleeing in a silver four-door car.

Mill Creek meeting

YOUNGSTOWN

A special meeting of the Mill Creek MetroParks Board of Park Commissioners will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Fellows Riverside Gardens, McKinley Way. The only agenda item is an executive session to conduct an interview for park-system executive director. The board said an executive director will not be appointed at this meeting.

Sherri L. Moses, 46, of McClure Avenue, Youngstown, remains in Trumbull County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond after township police charged her with trafficking in crack cocaine and driving under suspension. A preliminary hearing is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 1 in Girard Municipal Court.

Officers from the police department’s narcotics unit arrested Moses at 2:40 p.m. Nov. 4 on Jacobs Road.

Papa John’s robbed

Two men, one carrying a gun, stole an undetermined amount of money from Papa John’s pizza shop, 3175 Belmont Ave., at 10:40 p.m. Thursday. The manager and an employee told police the men, between 17 and 20 years old, entered the store with masks on and demanded money. One man wore a black mask, black hoodie with silver embroidery and dark pants and held a small-caliber handgun, and the other man wore a red-bandanna mask, camouflage jacket with hood and jeans. The robbery was recorded on the store’s video-surveillance camera.
