Columbiana jail jumper remains hospitalized

SALEM

An inmate at the Columbiana County Jail in Lisbon remains in St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown after he jumped from a mezzanine in the Columbiana County Jail on Tuesday. The hospital would release no information on his condition.

Ronald E. Davie, 28, of Negley had been in the jail on a charge of domestic violence.

Columbiana County Prosecutor Robert Herron said that Davie’s jump took place in the open area of the jail where prisoners can move about freely.
